Hats for $5 at Whitaker Knits

Spring and summer are always slow times for Whitaker Knits. Though the shop offers lace cuffs and scarves that are great for warm weather, and fingerless mittens are useful in air-conditioned offices and stores, sales are always down this time of year. This gives me plenty of time to use up my yarn bits, and the easiest way to do that is to make hats.

Because the hats are knitted on large needles, they take little time to make. The yarn is left over from other projects or was given to me by family or friends who had excess, so there is no cost for materials. Therefore, Whitaker Knits offers these hats for just $5 each. I've created an entire shop section full of $5 hats.

Some children's and baby hats are also $5, but they are in the children's and baby's sections respectively.
